Somebody gave me the keys to the castle, and I hope we all don’t live to regret it.

First off, if you’re reading this, you’re crazy.  But, crazy in a good way.  The Carolina Water Cooler used to be my favorite place to go for a little comic relief from the doldrums of Inside Carolina, and the inflated expectations that come with fanbase message boards.  Then, it up and vanished like Andy Dufrense from Shawshank.  Dave and Stillman then dub me as the successor to their riches, and now I’m writing for the CWC.  Only in America, right?

A little about me.  I have an unhealthy obsession with Carolina sports, let’s get that out of the way. This developed when I went through a rebellious phase as a ten year-old, and heard a story about how my mom injured me in 1983 when I was only months old after Lorenzo Charles’ putback won the NCAA title for State.  So, getting my mom to buy me a ’93 UNC national title hat was the first feather in my cap of disappointing my parents.  My parents are both Wolfpackers, and playing Devil’s advocate has always been part of my M.O.  Much to their dismay, I attended Carolina from ’01-’05, and would have stayed longer if I knew how uncool the real world actually was.  Stay in school, kids. I was a freshman for The Shame, a term of endearment I use for the ’01-’02 basketball season.  I also sat through four football seasons in which I saw a total of 19 Tar Heel wins.  The highlight was obviously the ’05 NCAA title in basketball, which was a reward for my loyalty, I think.

But, enough about me.  I’m just happy to be here, and I promise to bring it on a consistent basis when it comes to Carolina sports.  If you don’t like something, tell me. If you like something, tell my boss.

Oh yeah, tell your friends about the site.  And, tell your other friends about wolfpackwatercooler.com.
